A. The events that led to the outbreak of the war was the living conditions of people in Congo, who were living in ditches. They were filling up floors of the churches and men and young boys were forced into armed groups. Laurent Nkunda , who was a former general in Congo's army, had launched a war. This war was to save the Congolese people from a government who had no protection for it's people.

C. What i think can happen to stop the war/genocide in Congo is that made they can do a cease fire like the Rwanda genocide. I would hope that the war/genocide would stop and that there would be peace. The people of Congo deserve a much much better life. They shouldn't have to go through this.
B. It is said that the total of people that died in this conflict has been five million and counting. It began June 2007 to and unknown date. The countries and ethnics groups that were involved were the DRC (Democratic Republican of Congo), the Kivutians, the Tutsi, and the Hutu. Knowing that approximately five million people have lost their lives is very disturbing.
